Profile
I have 18 years' experience, including Teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) and English as a Foreign Language (EFL) at the college level, and with children K-12.
My first teaching experience was with international students at the University of Hawaii, Manoa.
There are many teachers in my family. My father was a college professor for 55 years and retired at age 92.
Credentials
I earned my Master's degree in Education and have a California Adult Teaching Credential for English and English as a Second Language.
I have always enjoyed working with adults
and I am rewarded by seeing them advance in their English skills.
Skills
In addition to teaching ESL/EFL at the college level, I also have six years of editing experience for a corporation and I was a consultant for a school seeking accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
I frequently coach my peers in their efforts to successfully communicate within professional and social situations.
While teaching Spanish at a K-8 school, I created the curriculum for all 9 grade levels and implemented the lessons.
